Sol is a 13 year old girl living in New York in 1923. Her father is a Historian and her Mother is an Physicist. Her older sister has been committed to an insane asylum, and Sol's been told not to speak of her in public.Sol's about to discover that the world around her is more amazing and fragile than even she imagined.

Today I had the need to research Taxis in NYC in the 1920s. They had them.
And I found this rockin’ street scene photo, which seems to be NYC in the 20’s.
Talk about an atmospheric shot.

Here’s a nice to-do list before November!
-finish reading the time machine
-start reading more wikipedia entries about 1920’s
-read book about string and chaos theory and also quantum mechanics. (Borrow from friend)
-outline basic plot. Make index cards?
-decide on basic names for all main characters, possible corrections over time.
-outline main cast, roles, 1920’s lives, and short history. write bios.

NaNoWriMo 2011!
I might be crazy, or I love setting myself up for failure, because I haven’t really planned the whole book out yet. I’m doing NaNoWriMo this year.
but win or lose if I plow ahead I’ll have more to edit than not.
Which is more than I can say for other projects I’ve tried.
Here’s for plowing ahead.
